Tren Urbano is the first passenger rail system constructed in Puerto Rico, and is the largest single project ever built on the island. The total project is divided into seven Alignment Section Contracts. Alignment Section #3 – Las Lomas – is unique in that the joint venture contractor is responsible for the fixed Facilities of Alignment Section #3, and is also the constructor of the track for all 17 kilometers of the entire Tren Urbano Alignment.
